The Montgomery Loop is not actually a "trail" at all, but a loop route which utilizes village roads and a short interconnect through LMC greenbelt. The main point is that the greenbelt between the end of Condon Lane and Libby Court is open to walkers, so a flat loop about 3/4 mile Iona can be achieved. Suggested route is as follows:
Park at the trail sign which is north of the Conference Center on the utility road that is marked with the red identification sign"8481." Walk north alone the short path to the end of the Montgomery Lane cul-de-sac, then follow Montgomery Lane until you reach Libby Court. Turn right and walk to the end of the Libby Court cul-de-sac. Look for the "hiker" sign marking, a narrow pathway through LMC greenbelt property. This path takes you to a more open grassy area which leads you to the north end of Condon Lane. Follow Condon back south and turn right onto Pope Way. This will return you to Montgomery, where you should turn left to return to your car.
